Friday 13th !!

Friday the 13th was my day to blog. It was going to be rather a momentous day when I met the accountant and the business would be handed over and all would be well in my world. Plus the small matter of a structural edit coming back - you know the sort when author's trying to write 'this' book and the editor is editing 'that' book'. Or is that just just me?

Then Glasgow was gripped by freezing fog, the phone lines at work went down during the night and the keyholder had a flat tyre-- well her car had.

A result of that is that my truly wonderful blog about the British Embassy in Berlin will be next week. And here's a few funnies to keep us going in the meantime.... Mr Brian Bilston with a seasonal offering...

  1. I love this, Caro! Especially the dictionary joke. My Christmas post is the polar opposite of this one. If I get complaints on Monday, I will send readers back here. This is the antidote!

    1. Ah, now very intrigued re Monday's post. But there was further cheer this morning, driving in to work at 7am through the freezing fog. We drove past the gritter 'Cold finger'. The driver was waving at everyone, he had a fancy Santa hat on. No doubt many drivers now have Shirley Bassey as an ear worm this morning.

    1. To be honest I think the Advent Calendar one works for us all at this time of year!

  4. I join in with so many of your fans who loved this post. Not so much the part about the freezing fog or key holder with a flat tyre/tire, but the nigh full on advent calendar number of pure Caro Ramsay sense of humor cartoons. Thanks for the chuckles in these chuckle retardant times.--Jeff
