The sharp shooter hero

 You have probably all been aware of controversy at the Olympics,  mostly created by people who shouldn't have been allowed near a keyboard, people who like to rant and people who have never visited the Louvre- or if they did they went in homage to The DaVinci Code and missed the paintings.

Anyway, like any great sporting event, it throws up heroes and the odd anti hero - and the merely odd.  

Here is somebody shooting, with all the gear on.

Then Turkish shooter Dikec turned up for the mixed team 10-meter air pistol shooting.

And the internet went crazy. 

He made a comment above him wanting his dog back from his ex wife. He lives with the cat. Next thing the cat and dog  on the memes.

He said that he learned to shoot during a rather bitter divorce.

The 51 year old struck a cord with angry middle aged men everywhere.

He was a cop, and a soldier and he says they are taught to shoot with one hand in the pocket, and using both eyes to gauge the target.

The more interesting this is that it was a mixed event, his young partner Sevval Illayd Tarhan got no media attention at all.

So not such an overnight sensation. He's been doing this for years.
