Happy Day after Christmas!
We had a bit of German influence this year for dessert:
Hippengebabäck
after baking we twisted the form and dipped in chocolate
alongside we made a rote Grütze berry compote with a tapioca-like sauce and cinnamon star.
Sated!
Wishing all my blog mates and you a wonderful new year and here is my resolution courtesy of Voltaire

How Long Should a Chapter Be?

Leave it to the Germans to describe a dessert in a word that describes precisely where it will end up... Hippengebabäck (hip und the backside). Happy New Year, Cara. And, yes to being happy, be healthy!
ReplyDelete:) you nailed it Jeff!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious, wherever it ends up!
ReplyDeleteLove rote grutze and haven't had in decades
ReplyDeleteGreat word, probably delicious. The German language is kind of stellar in some ways.
