A taste of IcelandNoir

A wonderful conference in a gorgeous land that included:

Late morning dawns...

A serendipitous dinner with my family...

Many fascinating panels...

A rare opportunity to spend time with my delightful blogmate Zoe Sharp...

A display at the local library that included, mirabili dicta, one of my books, very unexpected...

A fun party at Yrsa's house...

A great bus tour with Yrsa...

With views from the bus, some of which read like luminous minimalist paintings...

Fabulous scenery...

With stops to explore...

And spelunking with fellow writers and mystery fans...

And many sleepless, jet lagged hours to contemplate what that electrical outlet is doing up there on the ceiling.

  1. Hi Annamaria. Wonderful pictures. It's been a blast, hasn't it? And the scenery is something else.

Yeah, that power outlet at ceiling height would bug me, too ...

  2. Looks like everyone is having a blast (hopefully not of the polar variety...)!

    1. EvKa, when I left NYC, it was warmer in Iceland. I will find out tomorrow if that is still true.

  3. That looks like it was fun. Iceland is such a starkly beautiful place that fires my imagination. Last time I was there I spread my father's ashes in Eyjafjörður and then fell in love with the island.

  5. Sorry I missed farewelling you all! By the time I'd sorted out Stan's parking you had all headed to bed! It was a great trip.

    1. And we cried all the way home in disappointment at missing saying good bye to you, Stan. Sniff, sniff.

Yes, it was all one could hope for at a conference experience and more. Reykjavik is a gem in everyway.
