A road 'unherd' of.

We were out investigating unnamed road for a book.
We were doing well until we met some natives.

This young lady had a very impressive set of horns.
They go the right way round for injuring you.
Fortunately, they are docile beasts.
Up to a point.

They were not happy that we wanted to cross the cattle grid.
The wee guy in the middle was quite angry about the entire affair.

A sensible one from the back, quite a rare colour of Highland cow, came forward.
She moooved things along.

This young lady....

Took off...

To be followed by other members of the family.

Then these two got fed up and had a lie down.

The wee one decided that he was making a stand.
So we reversed up, on a single track road.
And met a huge removal lorry coming the other way.
In the battle of the wee Dacia and the big lorry,
 the  calf won.
We both turned round and went back the way we came.

On the other side of the cattle grid.

No rain here,  but some over there.

Driving down the glen on Unmarked Road

I think this is the Viking's Viewpoint that will appear in the novel
but we didn't get there because of...

But I'm sure you remember her....

Further down, I saw this house, high on the Ben.
My Detective, like Petrocelli, is building a house.
Like this house, the living room is on the top to make the most of the views.

A monument at the bottom of the road, from the First Word War, I think.  We shall revisit it another day and check out the facts. We saw this the day before the VE Anniversary. As I write this we seem to have a new war, and we definitely have a new Pope.

Let's hope the latter is the sign of a new start.
