One of them that caught my ear was of water rushing through a pipe. I wrote this 'scene' where a spider was crawling in a downspout (I'd never heard the nursery rhyme, at that point...) and then the rains came and washed the spider down. Except... my description was focused on the spider, so I never really mentioned the downspout, just the spider and the rushing water. So, when read in class the next day, I was astounded to find out that everyone in class thought I was writing about a spider getting flushed down a toilet.
