Africa 2018: Some Favorite Shots

Annamaria on Monday

When this blog goes up, I will be enroute to New York after my marvellous month in Africa. I am taking home glorious memories and hundreds of pictures to make sure that the joy of this trip does not fade.

Here is a small selection of my favorites from my time with Michael and Pat at Olifants.

My gracious hosts: Enormous thanks to Michael and Pat!

On my last evening in Olifants, we went watch the sunset.  Africa NEVER disappoints me!

  3. Susan, In no way could I do the birds justice. We saw over 110 species, thanks to Michael’s encyclopedic knowledge and uncanny ability to drive a vehicle on difficult roads and at the same time spot three or four inch avians in dense foliage. Wow! Just WOW!!!

  5. What we need, Leye, is an All MIE Excursion. I’d sign up in a heartbeat.

  6. I always learn so much from your posts, sis. This time, though, you’ve outdone yourself. Who knew Michael had such great gams.

  7. What I'm impressed by is the great spread of food and wine they always manage to put on when out in the bush. I should dine so well at home!

  8. Bro, As I have pointed out to Susan, our resident mathematician has many talents beyond writing great fiction.

EvKa, then there was the wine! Why did I not take pictures of the wine bottles. What a terrible omission in my part. Now you’ve made me mad at myself. I hope you’re happy.
