Ingwelala 2017: Volume Two

Annamaria in Africa

And then after days of longing...

The firmament redefining "starry."

And this:

A confab of the leadership of the Republican Party.

I stayed behind to spend some time playing with my imaginary friends.
That's my manuscript on the table, and one of the troop of vervet monkeys
that came for a visit.

"YUM!" says my soul.

  1. All right, I have to have a talk with Jesus. There's not supposed to be any going to heaven until AFTER shuffling off this mortal coil...

    1. EvKa, would it help if I mentioned the bright red spider bites on my left arm, one set of which closely resembled the constellation Orion? But truly, nothing does it for me like being there.

  2. You're looking great, sis. Africa agrees with you...even when the steering wheel happens to be on the wrong side.

  3. Next time don't forget to take me along as your personal assistant, bodyguard, bearer, man Friday, valet, chauffeur, cook, etc. I work for free and all you have to cover is my travel expense. It's a good deal, don't you think? :)

    1. Gee, Jono, if I did that, I would not have look around for taller fellow passengers and beg them to help me get my carry on into the overhead bin!!

  4. Beautiful photos. Just looking at them is calming, much more preferable to having to think about the "zoo" in the White House.

    1. Kathy, "Zoo" is too kind a word. The animals in the White House are showing signs of the onset of rabies. Happy to offer you a bit of respite. We all need a LOT of glimpses of the beauty of our planet.

  5. Yes, our planet, the one the White House care not one whit about protecting. So far, 90 regulations of all types, including EPA protections, have been stayed or dropped.

The real animals are beautiful and remind me that the earth keeps turning on its axis. But the far-rightists in the White House are endangering millions of people and Earth itself.

    1. I agree with you on all points, Kathy. But I also feel strongly that we must not let ourselves get so dispirited and depressed that we lose our energy and our determination. That's why I think we must take joy in the things that bring joy to us.

  6. Yes, absolutely. This is why nature helps as do the political comedians on TV. I must get my daily dose of political humor and sarcasm.

The good ones won't let President Agent Orange or his bunch off the hook.
