French Food Porn

People ask me why I don't include food in a post - French food; the patisseries, charcuteries, markets, meals and bistros. So here in random order are some culinary highlights of my Paris trip
White asparagus - in season only three weeks a year - with poached eggs at Maison X
A dessert to die for at Maison X - tiny poached white peaches, Brest chocolate, eclairs, some kind of chestnut creme.
Followed always by an expresso.
 A lonely macaroon.

Organic cola bottles (like gummi bears) in the local Bio (organic) shop

More macaroons with a chocolate truffle on guard
My friend's daughter after the circus sipping chocolat chaud.
Pistachio creme apricot tart at a Left Bank patisserie
Morrells and melons at the market
 More tarts at the Patisserie

Fresh mackerel at the market ( a maqueray is also slang for pimp)

 Salmon in gellée to go
Paris Art cops who love Sushi - they always insist on meeting here.
A menu on an 'ardoise' - slate, also slang for menu
 Organic baby food in Monoprix
Pre-made ready to bake butter pastry dough in Monoprix
A runny perfect Saint Félicien cheese.
 Designer eclairs in the Marais.
The underground baking kitchen in the Marais - these chefs work 10 hours a day in this tiny vaulted cave.
L'as du Felafel on rue de Rosiers...best in Paris
Naughties (that's what it says)  of Cambrai
Flavored honey from the Sologne in Bon Marché
